I am also wondering what can be used as a finish coat on the blocks to make it look more finished, and to fill in all the small cracks and spaces. What do you have on your house Geoffrey?

I refer you to Interlocking Compressed Earth Blocks, Volume II: Manual of Construction for various ways to finish an ICEB house.

The CVBT markets a clear acrylic glazing. We had located one supplier in Indonesia. We are still looking for one with a good reputation for a good quality product.

My house is painted with 2 coats of our Diamond Brand Glazing.

A water-base acrylic glazing is recommended. It will allow the wall to breathe. If you use an oil-based glazing, it will seal the wall and, when moisture gets in, it will be trapped.
