How long do you leave the blocks to cure and how is this usually done? For example, are the
blocks stacked and covered in tarpaulin?

.  Initially the blocks are set on plates on racks.  Blocks pressed in the morning are sprinkled with water after lunch.  All blocks are sprinkled just before locking and leaving in the evening.  The following morning we put blocks into our solar high-humidity curing chambers.  A trough of water under the blocks gives a source of water.  A green house tarp (we can supply this if needed) covers the blocks warming them and trapping moisture in.
Shade curing can also be done but the strength will come slower.  Do not dry blocks in the sun; they won't get strong.
